Harmony construction update – January 2017

Happy New Year to you all!

Works at Harmony are well underway for 2017, and AVID Property Group will provide regular construction updates throughout the year, to help to keep Sippy Downs residents and community well informed.

Over the next 4 weeks detours/partial lane closures will be in place on Claymore Road, Albany Street, Red Cedar Street and University Way as part of the following works:

– Intersection upgrade works on the corner of Red Cedar Street and University Way

– Intersection upgrade works on the corner of Albany Street and Claymore Road

– Relocation of Energex electricity pole at the intersection of Albany Street and Claymore Road

– Relocation of Energex electrical pole along Claymore Road (adjacent to Fitzwilliam Drive)

With the school holidays coming to a close, please allow extra travel time to ensure you reach your destination safely and on-time.

Minor clearing works along Claymore Road are also underway and are scheduled for completion at the end of January. These will be contained within Sunshine Coast Council’s road or drainage reserves and will not impact the Mooloolah River National Park or adjoining residential properties.

AVID has recently completed the construction of a temporary haul road and intersection upgrades at Pignata Rd (adjacent the Bruce Highway) which will provide the main access to Harmony until the completion of Peter Crosby Way. The temporary access road has reduced the amount of construction vehicles required to access the site along Claymore Road, and will also provide access for builders during the construction of Harmony Display World.

Internal earthworks for Harmony’s preliminary 170 lots are nearing completion with internal civil construction works now underway.

Bridge construction across the open channel and Sippy Creek crossing is well underway with the first bridge decks delivered to site and placed in position on 12 January. All of the bridge decks are anticipated to be delivered to site by 10 February 2017.

Construction of billboards along the Bruce Highway are scheduled to commence at the end of January with completion expected mid-February 2017.
